In 1988, I took the degree of Official National Tour Guide,
In 1990 I started my official activity of Tour Guide, in the Algarve, as free-lancer, working as main guide for the Miltours-Tui (called today of TUI-Portugal), agency for which I still work as an independent guide. During this time i also worked for other agencies,like Portimar (Algarve), E.V. Tours Full Services and Cordial Tours. Nowadays i work for the following Travel Agencies: Tui, Dr.Tigges, Gebeco, Olimar, I.T.S., Jahn Reisen, Dertour, Neckermann and Imholz, European Express, among others.

After 20 years living in the Algarve, in 2005 i settled down near to Lisbon and run an independent Travel Agency, Discovery Tours Portugal, with the support of very experienced Tour Guides to show the secrets of Portugal to our visitors, beeing not only a tour guide but also driver/guide driving a 9-seater minivan.

Insider knowledge, feeling for the country and our training as official guides in Portugal are the ingredients for successful experiences.
Our 4 year long training is very complete: history of the arts, history, botany, landscape and people, geography, geology, economy, gastronomy and wines,  etc.

I am very happy to unveal the old history of Portugal as well as the unspoilt Landscapes, the Castles, old well preserved villages, the nature, the world-heritage monuments and traditions of the country to our visitors.
